Susan May Nadeau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Susan Nadeau, on Tuesday July 20, 2021 at the age of 71, at Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario.  She was the strongest lady we knew but she just couldn’t win this battle with cancer that began in April of this year, and after seeing all of her loved ones, her fight came to an end.

Loved Mother of Elizabeth (Tim) Harris, and Jennifer Nadeau.  Loving Grandmother of Kyle and Emily.

We have all been blessed over the years with various articles knitted or crocheted, each made with love, and we will cherish each item.  Susan’s proudest achievement was being involved with The Poppy Project for the Niagara Falls Museum last November.

We would like to express our sincere ‘Thank You’ to the medical Staff at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, the Nurses and Staff at the Welland County General Hospital, and to everyone at VON Sakura House for the amazing care.

Big hugs go out to Mom’s best friend Annie for her care of Mom’s cat, to Great Uncle Jim for his support, Father Nick for his support, and to the George Family for taking care of ‘Susan’s girls’ Elizabeth and Jennifer.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date to be announced.  Memorial donations to VON Sakura House are appreciated and may be made directly, or (by cheque) through Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario (519-290-5575) who have been entrusted with final arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared at wareingcremation.ca

  • It was with great sadness that we learned of my Aunt Susan’s passing. Although I lived far away it was always a pleasure to see her when I visited back home. Susan was always very supportive of my mom and dad. She always thought of others first and had a very big heart. May she rest in peace.
