Sara Keeping

Sara  'Sadie' Keeping
On Sunday April 10, 2022, our beloved Mom passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital. She was in her 91st year.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Joanne (Don), her son Brian (Marg), daughter in law Tracey, and by her grandchildren, Ryan (Laurie), Paul (Jana), Jaime, Kristy (Andrew), Rob (Michelle) Derek (Stephanie) and Charlsey.
She was the very proud Great Grandma to Josh, Kenzie, Parker, Nicole, Ella, Kurtis, Max, Myles, Mary and Owen.
She is survived by her sister Pauline.
Sara was predeceased by the love of her life Alec Gordon Keeping, her youngest son William Charles, her parents William and Sara Caskey, her sisters Mary and Bessie, and her brothers John, David and George.
Mom will be remembered in our hearts as fun loving and adventurous. She loved dancing, camping, birthdays (any celebration for that matter), going on road trips to her favourite eatery Cheap Charlie’s, and traveling.
Sara was athletic as well. When she was younger, she played ball with the Woodstock Shamrocks, was a competitive bowler, and a golfer too.
In keeping with her expressed wishes cremation has taken place and Mom will be buried alongside Dad. A private family Service will be held.
Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario have been entrusted with Final Arrangements.

  • Many years ago, Sadie and Pauline had a paper route, The Windsor Star. The CNR would bring the newspapers to Woodstock around 5 pm, the girls would pick them up and then start their paper route. The first stop was our house, as my Mother had worked in Wakerville and she enjoyed that newspaper. I was allowed to walk with them one block BUT one soft warm rainy day in August we took my wagon and off I went with them. Problem was I did not tell my Mother I had gone, and you know the rest of the story.
