It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sallie Patricia ‘Pat’ Force-Reeves, age 75, at Sakura House, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Loving mother of Tami (Chris) Coyle and Eric (Michela) Force. Proud “Gramma Pat” of Sydney and Nick Force. Adored by her “grand-puppy” Kacey. Mother figure to Brandy (Martin) Grant and their sons Justin and Brad. Predeceased by her parents, Jim and Ann Yancey, and her brother Mike Yancey. Pat will be missed by her brother, retired Cpt. John E. Vinson (Marilyn), her sister Gemmie (Greg, 2018) Diehl, and sister-in-law Terry Yancey, all of Phoenix, Arizona. “Fun loving” Aunt to her many nieces and nephews residing in Georgia and Arizona. A good time was always to be had when Aunt Pat was around.
Cherished friend of Terry Padula and June Todd (Arizona), Sylvia and Andrew Koczerzuk (Kingsville), Cheryl Barr, Heather deGraf, and Rita Lewis (Woodstock). Many fun adventures were had with these friends over the years and she was very fortunate to be loved and supported by each of them.
Pat truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Cheering on her favourite sports teams (Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and she shared her love for the Pittsburgh Steelers with her son-in-law Chris).
She enjoyed creating different crafts over the years and was so proud to show off her latest creation.
She was a proud volunteer with Branch 55 Ladies Auxiliary, Ronald McDonald House in Sun City, Arizona, St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy program and the Alzheimer Society of Oxford.
She has been a longtime member of Order of Eastern Star No.27 Khaki Chapter, Woodstock.
Later in life, she enjoyed travelling with family and friends to various places in the USA, Europe and the Caribbean. It was always an adventure when she made the long drive from Ontario to Phoenix to visit.
Pat was one of a kind, known for her bubbly personality and humour. She will be greatly missed, but will always be “the sunshine on our shoulders”.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements. There will not be a visitation or funeral service, however, a Celebration – “Pat’s Party” will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to VON Sakura House or the Alzheimer Society of Oxford.
The family would like to thank Dr. P. Kocsis and his office staff for Pat’s care over the years, nursing staff of 2500 unit, Diane Murray and the Palliative Care Nursing Staff 2200 unit all of Woodstock Hospital.
A special THANK YOU to the incredible staff at VON Sakura House for their care and compassion helping us through this extremely difficult time. It will never be forgotten.
Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared at here at wareingcremation.ca

Dear Tami and family,
What lovely words to share about your mom. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. It is very hard to loss someone you love so dearly. Take time to embrace the memories that you were able to share with her. Take care, Sharon
Aunt Pat, she approached life with a smile and had such an infectious laugh that always lighted Ed up a room or table at our family functions. She was selfless with her time she spent doing and caring for others. She was in no means shy about telling you when she thought you were wrong or out of line, but she would turn around and stand up to defend or support you when merited. A couple of simple memories that will always resonate with me that I would love to share here:
1) when you cared for me toddler, she would always make my favorite snack of peanut butter and jelly mixed up in a cup with just a spoon!
2) pat loved to sing along to popular songs with us kids, but sometimes she did not know the words. One song in the seventy’s was the roller coaster of love, which always sang as “little red rooster …”.
Aunt Pat will always stay near and dear to my heart. God has taken away her pain and brought her home, I think he must have needed someone with your humor and laughter to brighten heaven. Miss you!

Sometimes it helps to remember that underneath our grief, there is LOVE. It was there before, it’s there now and it will be there afterwards. I’m grateful for the short time I knew Pat, wishing there had been longer, I didn’t just like Pat, I LOVED her❣️
Please accept our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
Pat was a wonderful person who brought so much joy and positivity into the lives of those around them. She will always be remembered for her warm heart, infectious smile, and unwavering spirit. Her impact and memory will live on forever.
Being good friends means you are there for them and that was our friendship.
Pat was such a special friend and she will be sorely missed, really more than words can really express , we are so grateful to have had her as a friend.
Our hearts will always miss her and ache for her, that never goes away, it will just be a little less on a daily basis and hopefully those warm memories take up more space.
Love Sylvia and Andrew
