Nancy Benson
On Monday April 3, 2023 Nancy passed away, in her 78th year.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Bob Benson (January 1995), and by her partner Dave Chessell (February 2023).
She will be missed by her children Shelley (Matt) Bartodziej, Paul (Lisa) Benson, Lorrie (Jody) Slade, and by her five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Remembered by Dave’s children Shawn Chessell, Kim Brousseau, and Amber Neutel. Nancy was predeceased by her loving parents Robert and Ruth Smith, and her sister Darlene Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 7, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion, 642 Dundas Street, Woodstock, Ontario.
Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario have been entrusted with Final Arrangements.

Nancy was a joker. She had a big heart we loved her. We went to see her all the time. We will miss not going to her place to see her. But she will always be in our hearts.
So sad to see this news, heart felt condolences to Nancys family. I had the absolute pleasure of caring for Nancy at Woodstock Hospital while she was on the rehab unit and I made sure to check in and say hi to her on 2200 unit.
Fancy Nancy as I lovingly called her, spoke of her kids every time we chatted. The best part of her day was always when Paul brought her Tim’s, and if he couldn’t make it then Lisa brought her Tim’s.
Nancy was kind, loving and absolutely a hilarious person to be around. She could often be found sitting and chatting with the nurses, she was such a social person!
Deepest sympathies to Nancys family.
I truly will remember her fondly.
