Mildred Leone Thompson

Leone died peacefully in her sleep on Friday October 9, 2020 at Caressant Care Courtland, in her 97th year. 

Leone was predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie Thompson (d. 1962), and by her loving son Howard (d.1995). Leone is survived and will be missed by her daughter Colleen (David) Mills, and by her daughter-in-law Janice (Allan) Presiznuk.  Nana will be missed by her cherished grandchildren Kathy, Shawn (Tanja) Mills, her grandchildren out West, Phillip (Crystal) Thompson, Anthony (Emily) Thompson, and Krystal (Dave) Beck, her seven great grandchildren Julia, Madysen, Taylor, Keaton, Hunter, Logan, and Adelynn. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Leone was predeceased by her parents William and Ellie Johnson (nee Gilchrist), her siblings Earl (Molly) Johnson, Harold (Eileen) Johnson, Russell (Betty) Johnson, Eileen (William) Service, Lorene (Bert) Hamilton, Bernice (Merv) Willis, and Leslie (Shirley) Johnson.

Leone will be remembered for her sense of humor and her fun-loving spirit. On Saturday October 17, 2020 there will be a slide show at 1:30 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm - held on “Zoom” and connection details are available by email on request from dvclmills@rogers.com

  • I had the privilege of meeting Leone while she was living at Caressant Care Woodstock. What a lovely lady she was! We had some lovely visits while my Dad lived there, and following his passing. I lost track of her when she moved and thought of her often. My condolences to the family!
