Kenneth Maddison Fisher

Kenneth passed away at Caressant Care, Woodstock on Thursday February 24, 2022 at the age of 92. Ken was predeceased by his wife Elsie (Rowley) November 21, 2008.

Ken was the much-loved Father of Shelley Fisher MacLellan (Dave Pozzobon) and Barbara Fisher. Proud Grandfather of Clayton MacLellan, Colleen MacLellan and Katrina Zelles as well as his three Great Grandchildren Xander, Lucca and Nova.

Ken was a retired electrician (I.B.E Local Union 120). He and Elsie lead active lives. He was an avid hunter, which lead them to raising and showing German Shorthair Pointers. Their next endeavor was helping Barb and I with our horses. Our parents then started Nova Craft Boats, followed by Nova Craft Canoes. They then got involved with re-enacting with various groups including Primitive Buckskinning, Ref-War, 1812 and the Civil War which led to Ashley Grange Traders, HMS Charwell Group and HMS Pandora. The Pandora (his last boat) was made under Nova Craft Boats several years ago.

We would like to thank all staff at Caressant Care, his friends who visited him while in Long-term Care and Rev. Canon Nick Wells (longtime family friend who was on his way in to visit Dad at the time Ken just passed). We were able to say our final good bye to Dad.

A celebration of life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made directly to a charity of your choice. Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave. Woodstock, have been entrusted with final arrangements. Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared at www.wareingcremation.ca

  • Shelley and family,

We all had the privilege of caring for Ken while he was with us on 2nd floor. We enjoyed hearing about his reenactment stores and about his canoes. He was full of knowledge and we all learned a little something from Ken. Please accept our sincere condolences you will be in our thoughts in the coming days. We will all miss Ken.
