Kenneth Douglas Cassells

September 8, 1945 – March 26, 2021
With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing at home of Kenneth Douglas Cassells, in his 76th year. Ken is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Wilson) of 55 years, his sons Kevin (Jolie) Cassells and Jeffery Cassells, his brother Gerry (Mary Jane) Cassells, sister Linda (Don) Pruss, sister-in-law Patricia Cassells, grandsons Christopher and Cameron Cassells, mother-in-law Norine Wilson, aunt and uncle Jim and Judy Stewart, and aunt Janet Stewart, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Margaret (Stewart) Cassells Goudy, stepfather George Goudy, and father Thomas Cassells, as well as his brother Wayne Cassells.
An avid gardener who took great pride in his home, Ken enjoyed watching sports and caring for his fish and aquariums.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Woodstock Hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Thank you to the palliative care team, Dr. Fryer, and nurse Patty Harmer. Condolences and remembrances can be shared at wareingcremation.ca. Barb, Kevin & Jeff my deepest condolences on the loss of your Dad and husband. I’ve always liked Ken but of course unfortunately I haven’t seen you guys in years. Be gentle with yourself Barb it’s a long hard journey ahead of you and just take one day at a time. I’d love to stop by for a visit someday when all this plague has settled down . Take care
Dear Barb and family, Jimmy and I are very sad to hear of Ken’s passing. We have many fond memories of visits with him and Barb. We remember Ken as a big sports fan particularly hockey. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace and breathing freely. Rest in peace dear Kenny
