John Naylor

John Naylor
September 24, 1949 – June 7, 2023

John Naylor, of Mount Elgin, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario.
Beloved husband of Mary. His pride and joy were his daughters Alyshia Naylor (Rob Ebertt), and Stephanie (Nathan) Erkelens. Papa’s biggest fans were Noah and Henry.
John will be missed by his sisters and their husbands, Joan (Glen) Butcher, Barb Osmond, Susan (Lloyd) Hughes, Vicki (Bruce) McLeod, and Karen Griswold, and by his brothers-in-law Lex Wilson, Wayne Tyler, Gary Laekeman, Terry Laekeman, and his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Hazel and Henry, and by his siblings Ann (Reg), Iris (Ken), Lois, Wilma (Dave), Gloria (Don), Donna, Marlene, Roxanne, Kevin, Allen, and Merv.
John was a loving, gentle, and patient man. A lover of sports, especially the Chicago Black Hawks, and a baseball Coach. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, puttering away, but….everything had to be precise. Our loving family man will be missed by many.
In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to VON Sakura House are most appreciated by the family.
Wareing Cremation Services, 346 Simcoe Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements. Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at wareingcremation.ca

  • Susan and Lloyd and the entire Naylor family. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your brother John. I had grown up with some of the Naylor family. Vicki and John were whom I attended school with. I also lived quite close to the family as a child and teenager. I know he will be missed immensely by everyone. So, so sorry. Pat Hughes
