Joanne Frauzel

Joanne Marie Frauzel (DeFauw) 75 years of age, of Port Burwell, Ontario, died peacefully on Monday August 21, 2023 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.
Joanne leaves behind her husband, Gavin of 54 years, a son, Paul (Susanne) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, a daughter, Angela Bodnar (Shawn) of London, Ontario, and three grandchildren, Victoria Frauzel, Alex Bodnar, and Andrew Bodnar.  She will be remembered by her siblings Mike DeFauw (Claudia), Sandra Ford (Joe), and Shirley Gaulin, and by many family and treasured friends in Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Emerie and Lillian DeFauw (nee LaForge), her sister Linda Mole, and brothers-in -law Real Gaulin and Mason Ford.
Throughout her life, Joanne worked at many jobs.
You could often find her in the kitchen or bathroom, cutting or perming someone’s hair. She enjoyed working as a shoe salesman, but her favourite job was as a school bus driver in Nova Scotia and Ontario. She took great pride in keeping a clean, safe bus and enjoyed getting to know “her kids”.
Joanne also had a love for shopping, especially thrifting.  She could never pass up a good deal and if you were on the hunt for something, you could be sure she would find what you were looking for at a great price.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Wareing Cremation Services, 346 Simcoe St., Tillsonburg, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements. Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at wareingcremation.ca
