  • Dad;
    As Mom declined I began to see why she always referred to you as her “hero”. Your care and commitment to her were inspirational. But it was your enduring love story that captivated me, and others who knew you.
    I will always love and remember Mom. She was a giving, vivacious, genuinely happy person who was a joy to be with until the end. And she was a fighter.
    Now that she only lives on in our memories, my focus is on you. I wish only happiness for you as you recollect times with her, forge new friendships, and treat yourself to a much deserved breather. Sleep in, visit neighbours, travel when the spirit moves you. And know that you are loved and appreciated, not just for what you were to Mom and did for her, but as a remarkable person in your own right.
    I love you, and I’m looking forward to this new chapter- however it unfolds and whatever it brings.

  • Dear Jim we were so sorry to hear of the passing of Joan. You have taken care of her so lovingly for many years. Joan always had a lovely smile on her face when she met her friends and neighbours, and she was always so easy to chat with. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
