Jean Wareing

With a sense of loss tinged with gratitude we share that Jean Mary (Campbell) Wareing passed away in the early hours of Tuesday January 24, 2023 at the Blue Water Rest Home in Zurich, Ontario.
Predeceased by her husband Ronald Wareing (2001).  Loving Mom of Kevin, Paul (Barb), Shelley (Rick) Parsons, Murray (Lynn), and Donald (Lynn).
Nana of Jill (Jacob), Ben (Lisa), Mark (Rachel), Jenna (Kevin), Laura (Brad), Michael (Julie), Aaron (Paige), Jessica (Taylor), Rob, Euan, and Daniel. Great Grandmother of 14.
Dear sister of Louise Welwood, John (Julie) Campbell, and Robert Campbell. Remembered by her sisters in law Margaret Wareing, Mary Wareing, and all of her nieces and nephews.
As a very little girl Jean lost her Mom, Mary (Kennedy), and as years passed she has been predeceased by her Dad Parker and step mother Mary (Mason) Campbell, daughter in law Karen, sisters in law Evelyn (Murray) Traquair, Jeanette Campbell, and brothers in law Gordon Welwood, Robert Wareing and Doug Wareing.
Mom was very proud of her family.  She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and cooking. Jean and Ron Wareing were business owners in Hensall for 33 years beginning with the Freeze King in Hensall, then the Freeze King in Seaforth, Ron’s Health Center, and the Hensall 5 cent to $1.00 store.  As a couple they were supporters of the local 4H Club, and were active in the Hensall Kinsman and Kinettes.

  • Dear: Kevin, Paul (Barb), Shelley (Rick), Murray (Lynn), Donald (Lynn) & Families . . .
“Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”

We are sending our heartfelt sympathies to you at this difficult time as you say good-bye & mourn the loss of an especially important lady in your lives. Treasure the wonderful memories & happy moments Jean has blessed each of you with, as these moments will bring a warm smile to your hearts. Words are never enough to ease the heartbreak you are feeling right now . . . but you have so many wonderful families, friends, neighbours & community grieving along side you also – please find strength by leaning on them for faith, courage, comfort, & support. Remember Jean’s devoted love of those she held dear . . . her memory will forever live on in your hearts & her legacy will live on in all of you . . .

Shelley, you were a very loving, thoughtful & dedicated daughter to your Mom . . . giving her all your love by providing her with your weekly visits & making sure she was receiving the best care possible. I know you were very close to your Mom . . . you will really miss her but I hope this saying is comforting: “Mothers hold their children’s hands for awhile but their hearts forever!”

It is always hard to see our once lively parents age & eventually leave this world behind – but may it comfort you somewhat knowing that your Mom is no longer suffering from that horrible disease & is now resting in peace, reunited with your Dad in Heaven forever.

In this sorrowful time, we would like to extend to you our heartfelt condolences. You are in our thoughts & prayers – sending lots of Love & Hugs to all. 💞🙏💞

Sincere condolences on the loss of a very special mother and community friend to Hensall. I have fond memories of growing up with the Wareing clan, and of the quiet, friendly presence of Jean in our lives. Always a smile and a kind word for everyone she met, and a warm hearted mom to the friends of her kids. She will be missed. May you all find peace in family memories of a life well lived.
