After a long battle with dementia, Jean passed away with her loving and devoted husband of over 64 years Bill Mahoney by her side, on Tuesday February 14, 2023.
Loving Mother of Tom Mahoney, Matt (predeceased 2000) and his wife Evelyn Mahoney, and Judy and her husband Brad Sweetland. Cherished Grandmother of Scott Mahoney, Kathleen and Darren Sandejas, Chris Sweetland and Danielle Morgan, Alex and Elisa Sweetland, and Great Grandmother of Riley and Cameron Sandejas.
Loving Mother of Tom Mahoney, Matt (predeceased 2000) and his wife Evelyn Mahoney, and Judy and her husband Brad Sweetland. Cherished Grandmother of Scott Mahoney, Kathleen and Darren Sandejas, Chris Sweetland and Danielle Morgan, Alex and Elisa Sweetland, and Great Grandmother of Riley and Cameron Sandejas.
Jean was predeceased by her parents Alton and Margaret Upthegrove, and sister Marion George.
Our Family would like to thank Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock for their many years of providing care for Jean.
Cremation has taken place and a family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Great picture from the cottage. So many good times there with Jean and many fond memories of her. Always up for a bit of fun and mischief.

My sincere condolences to the family . It was a true pleasure to be a member of Jeans care team during my employment at CC. Battling dementia is not easy for anyone involved.
Im most thankful to witness the dedication,commitment and unconditional love family gave to Jean during her years at CC. I pray that family finds comfort knowing her soul is finally home .
