Godfrey 'Gilbert' Anderson

Gilbert Anderson of Langton passed away suddenly but peacefully at LHSC - University Hospital in London on Friday July 9, 2021, at the age of 64, surrounded by his wife and children.
Gilbert was a loving husband to Debra Anderson (Deketelaere) for 41 years. Proud Father of Kristin, and Nicholas (Meaghan). Cherished Papa of Makenah and Dawsyn, and his fur grandbaby Meeka.
Predeceased by his father Godrey Anderson and mother Marion Anderson (Green). Dear brother of Diane (predeceased), Betty DePaepe (predeceased) and Mikey of Tillsonburg, Gord Anderson of Simcoe, Alex Anderson of Tillsonburg, Bea Strickland of Acton, Sandra Wolfer (Mike) of Acton, Keith Anderson of Tillsonburg, Murray Aicken (Paul) of Innerkip, Dennis Smith (Deb) of Hamilton, and Linda Derouchie (Mike) of Cornwall. Survived by many nieces and nephews, his godson Ryan, and many close friends.
Gilbert was born in Simcoe and grew up in the area of Norfolk County. Gilbert enjoyed life as a dedicated family man. He will be remembered and respected for always putting the ones he loved before himself. Our lives will be forever changed without him, but are forever changed because of him.
In keeping with Gilbert’s wishes there will be cremation and a return home with his family. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations in Gilbert’s memory, and in honour of the late Betty DePaepe, made to VON Sakura House are most appreciated by his family and may be made by cheque through Wareing Cremation Services, 346 Simcoe Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario N4G 2J8 (519-409-5575) who are entrusted with final arrangements.
