Gerry Thomas Cassells, age 78, passed away after a brave battle with cancer.
Survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Jane (nee Wright).
Proud Father of Cindy (Vern) Leeson, Thomas (Karen) Cassells and Deborah (Petar) Krndija. Loving Grandfather of seven and Great Grandfather of five.
He will be missed by his sister Linda (Don) Pruss, sisters-in-law Linda (Kevin) Taylor, Nancy Wright, Penny (Russell) Ransom, Pat Cassells, and Barbara Cassells.
Predeceased by parents Thomas and Margaret Cassells, brothers Ken and Wayne and sister-in-law Carol Young.
Gerry was a licensed master electrician. He coached minor hockey and was a Scout leader for many years. He loved his family, to travel, watch the London Knights hockey, golfing, coffee with his friends at the Chuck Wagon, and camping.
The family wish to thank St. Elizabeth Care Team, Wareing Cremation Services and VON Sakura House for their kind support.
Cremation has taken place.

The Celebration of Life will be an Open House and
Family and Friends are welcome to attend at Gerry’s home
on Saturday May 14, 2022
from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sakura House are appreciated.

There are no perfect words, but there are perfect silences. At times like this, I never know what quite to say, but I hope you know our thoughts are with you.
The loss of a good man is definitely hard for all that loved him. My prayers and thoughts of peace go out to his daughter, Deb, and the rest of the family and friends that are grieving this loss.
