Condolences go to you and your family Rip Aunt Gail
Though I only knew Gail for this past year, she was like a ray of sunshine as she greeted everyone who entered the Delhi home, and she was eager to hear a good joke, classic rock music and a thrilling story of adventure.
While working in the recreation department, and as a housekeeper, Gail always had a smile on her face no matter the pain or suffering she endured. I loved listening to her stories about Woolworth’s; making her 2 cups of coffee + milk, sugar, lids and a straw just her way; and her collection of pens used to solve book after book of word problems. I will never forget the importance of her favourite pyjamas, and pink sweater.
Now, Gail, as you rest in peace let me prepare a coffee with that extra bailey’s and a glass of tomato juice to which I will make a toast to you as such a strong and brave woman who brought joy to all around! And every day I will solve one word search puzzle in your memory!
Miss you “zooming” through the hallways, but I will wear my braids always just for you….
….my condolences to all her friends and family as they grieve the loss of such a great woman!
Your friend,
Kelly – the housekeeper, screener, recreation aide, resident services aide
