Caroline Broomfield

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caroline Broomfield (nee Kirby) on Monday, August 1, 2022, at the age of 61.
Caroline was a loving daughter and will forever be missed by her Mom, Barb. She will be deeply missed by her soulmate, husband and best friend Ted. World's best Mom to Matt (Echo), Malorie (Matt), Margaret, and Aaron.
Proud Grandma of Ty, Zoey, Harper, Rylee, Zain and Alex.
Loving sister to Ken (Sandra), and loving Aunt to Patrick and Jennifer.
She is joined in Heaven with her Dad, Bill.
Caroline was a compassionate and loving person. She had a great sense of humour. You could talk to her about anything without judgement and always know she was there for you. Her lasagna, her smile and her advice will be missed by so many.
A special thanks to the amazing nurses at Woodstock Hospital (an extra special thanks to Kat) and to her angel sister in law, Donna, who went above and beyond to care for Mom in her final days.
Friends and family are invited
on Thursday, August 11, 2022
to the Dwayne Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Rd, Paris, Ontario. Visitations will be held from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to a children’s sports organization would be appreciated. There's nothing she loved more than playing sports or watching her kids and grandkids play them.
She truly was the best Mom and Grandma anyone could ever ask for.
Final Arrangements entrusted to Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario. Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at wareingcremation.ca

  • I am so sorry for your loss. Caroline was a wonderful childhood friend of mine and even though we lost touch, I have thought of her often over the years. I always admired her. She was kind, smart, funny and super athletic. We shared some special times together even as we married and became young mothers. We were all very blessed to have her in our lives.

  • Ted and family: I was shocked and saddened to read about Caroline’s passing. Too young! I recall how passionate a spectator she was when watching Matt play ball. May you find comfort in your memories. She lives on in your hearts!
    Sincerely, Susan

  • To Caroline’s family: I played on all the PDHS sports teams with Caroline. She & I teamed up to play CWOSSA doubles badminton (circa 1976/77). Caroline was really good. I was totally not really good. Your matriarch should have gone to OFSSA that year if not for me. Great athlete all round.

    Sending heartfelt sympathies.
