Bryan Smithson Lightfoot

 

It is with great sadness but gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Bryan Lightfoot, surrounded by family, on Saturday August 26, 2023, at the age of 75 at People Care, Tavistock, Ontario. 

Bryan is survived by his wife Linda Lightfoot (Hoy), whom he married on January 21, 1967; his sister Edna Reid; his four sons, Greg (Candy), Gord (Danielle), Ron (Lisa), and Tom (Canday).  Loving Grandfather to his seven grandchildren Genny, Megan, Dan, Gillian, Jordon, Nick, and Abby, and loving Great Grandfather to Ella, Lauren, Madi, Olivia, and Breanna.   Bryan is predeceased by his parents Allan and Clara Lightfoot (nee Gough); his brothers Allan Lightfoot, and Hugh Lightfoot, his sisters Caroline (Jim) Handy and Viola (Ray) Bender. 

We wish to give thanks to all the PSWs, Nurses, Doctors, and Staff at People Care Tavistock for all the care they provided to Bryan during his short time there. 

A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends on Saturday September 16, 2023, from 1 to 4:00 pm, at Braemer Valley Park, 495856 10th Line, Woodstock, Ontario.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Parkinson’s Canada or People Care Tavistock would be greatly appreciated.
