Brian Cox
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our Dad and Papa, Brian John Cox. Brian passed away after a short battle with cancer on Sunday July 2, 2023.
He was a pillar of strength to his wife Lori, his children Liz (Nick), and David and his honourary daughter Brenda. A source of unconditional love, acceptance and fun to his grandchildren Chantelle, Kleinton, Justin, Becky (James), and Shawna. A very proud Great Grandfather to Theo. Brian was considered the “fun Uncle” and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
As the second youngest of seven children, he was known as the ringleader of practical jokes by Larry, Shirley, Mike, Darlene, Don and his stepfather Jim Kimberley. He will be remembered fondly by many coworkers at CAMI, and his neighbours Tim and Nancy will recall his stubbornness and loyalty. Brian has been reunited with his youngest brother Greg, and his Mom Bonnie.
He will be remembered through many stories of travel across Canada and of many fishing trips.
Through his final moments the family were supported at Sakura House and the family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made directly to VON Sakura House in Woodstock, the Canadian Cancer Society, or Oxford County Community Health Centre (specific to Addiction Program), 96 Tillson Ave., Tillsonburg, Ontario.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 22, 2023, from 1 to 5 pm, at Brian’s home, 297 Hay Lane, Woodstock, Ontario.
Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock was entrusted with Final Arrangements. Messages of condolence may be left here at wareingcremation.ca
