Andrew 'Drew' Ormston

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Andrew “Drew” Ormston of Woodstock, Ontario on Monday July 25, 2022.
A true family man who will be forever in our hearts. He was a loving, devoted husband to Sharon, the proud father of Andrew (Katie), Lee (Avery), and the awesome grandad of Holden, Edison, and Maisy. Words alone cannot express the deep, abiding partnership shared by Drew and Sharon. “If love alone could have kept you with me, you would have lived forever. Till we meet again, I will miss you every day. Love, Sharon”
Drew was an avid boater who enjoyed the “Lake Life” of Long Point. His annual fishing trips with his sons Andrew and Lee was always the highlight of the year. In his professional life, he was a well-respected retired employee of Salford Farm Equipment, and a long-time employee of Timberjack Inc.
Drew will be missed by his brothers Jim (Linda), Ron (Els) and Bill (Mary Anne). Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Betty (formerly of Norwich) and sister-in-law Els.
In keeping with Drew’s wishes, family and friends will be invited to share in an upcoming Celebration of Life.
Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave, Woodstock, Ontario have been entrusted with Final Arrangements. Your messages or remembrance and condolence may be shared here at www.wareingcremation.ca
I am sorry to hear of Drew’s passing. I always enjoyed working with him at Salford and hearing about his boat and BBQ adventures with his son.
You have my deepest sympathies.
Andy
Retired from Salford Group
Drew was one of the most honest and sincere men I have known. He was a tremendous brother in law to me and a wonderful uncle to my children. He treated all of us with kindness and we always knew he had our backs in good times and bad. My children cherish the memories they have with him at the lake and I cherish the life he shared with my sister and her boys and their families. He will be forever missed.

We would like to convey our deepest sympathies to the family. Drew was a generous man with a huge heart and will be greatly missed. We hold dear our memories of Drew, mostly fun filled days spent out on the lake. Drew and Sharon’s devotion to each other and their family has been a great inspiration to us.
With love,
Ryan and Kim
Sorry to read about Drew’s passing. Our prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time.
Sharon, Andrew, Lee & Family. I am heartbroken to hear of Drew’s passing. We were part of Team Salford together for many years, even sharing our “cubicle” for a number of years. Drew was a truly compassionate man who always looked out for us (being our health and safety guy). His presence was missed when he retired and will continue to be missed now that he has been called Home. He loved you all fiercely, I remember having many conversations with him about his fishing trips with Lee & Andrew and about the grands. Rest in the Sweetest of Peace Drew, until we meet again! All my love Trisha (and Jody) Brekelmans
I so very sorry to hear of the passing of Drew. I had the opportunity to work with Drew at Salford Group for many years, he was a wonderful trainer, a very nice person and always had a joke or two as well. I wish his family happy memories to help get them through this difficult time.

Dear Sharon,
I was so very sorry to read of Drew’s passing. May your memories sustain you in the the months ahead. “As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us as we remember them.” You are in my thoughts and prayers. Christine Gable, ICS
I am so very sorry to learn of your great loss, Sharon. I hope the support of family and friends will help you through this difficult time.
I was very saddened to hear of Drew’s passing. We worked together for several years at Salford – most notably when I was the operations manager there. Just a great positive presence to be around. Drew was often one of the first people new Salford employees met, since he did all the new employee orientations. We felt his absence when he retired. My condolences to Sharon and the family.
To all members of the Ormston Family, our hearts break for your loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandpa Drew. Who was an amazing man and will be geatly missed by anyone who was blessed to have known him
