Andrena R. McCallum

Andrena  McCallum
Andrena Ruth (Collver) McCallum passed away on Wednesday September 22, 2021 at Woodstock Hospital, in her 77th year.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Watson McCallum (1988). She will be missed by her daughter A.J. (Matt) McCallum, and grandchildren Aeryn and Ian McCallum of Bellaire, Michigan, whom she “loved to the moon and back”. Beloved sister of Helen (John) Davis of Otterville, Ontario, and Beth (George) Caverly of Mt. Elgin, Ontario, and sister in law Lyn Collver of Woodstock, Ontario. She was cherished and adored by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Ruth (2005) and Ronald (1967) Collver, sister Yvonne Hewitt (1999), and brother Doug Collver (2003).
Andrena will be remembered for her love of English mysteries, painting, knitting, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Detroit Tigers, and mints of all kind. Her family and friends will miss her “facetious” sense of humor and newfound love of texting with lots and lots of emojis.
In keeping with Andrena’s wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be no service. The family will hold their own private memorial. A special “Thank You” to all that cared for her in the past few months, and special gratitude for the caring and compassionate nurses of the Woodstock Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Memorial donations to your charity of choice are appreciated. Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock entrusted with final arrangements. Your messages of condolence may be shared at wareingcremation.ca

  • I didn’t see my cousin ’Drena during the lockdown, but as soon as it was over, my wfe,Sandra and I went to visit her in her little apartment in Norwich. It was only then that she told us of her condition and that a doctor had given her only about 2 months. I could not believe it! She seemed to be her usual spunky self and ,as we Fletchers are a very determined clan, I thought, she will tough this out. I was wrong. We were unable to visit her in hospital. As a result, the last living memory of her is out driving her mobility scooter like a bat out of hell, towards her favourite store in town. My deepest condolances to AJ, Helen, Beth and all her family.I shall miss her. Phil and Sandra Blumenthal
