A special person, a special face, a special someone we cannot replace. Yours was a life “well lived”. Emily Faw, of Tillsonburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Sakura House, Woodstock, on Wednesday December 6, 2017, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her first husband Ray Faw in 1979 and by her late husband Daniel Faw in 2008. Loving mother to Robert (Karen) Faw, Port Rowan and Barbara (Wayne) Genttner, Blind River. Cherished grandmother to Jo-Ann (Bruce) Baxter, Dean (Marcy) Genttner, Jason (Samantha) Haydt, Kevin (Michelle) Faw, and Karey (Kevin) Vandermaarel. Blessed with 10 great grandchildren. Will be missed by her sister and best friend, Isabel Angyal. Predeceased by her brother Alex Tothfalusi (2005) and sister Mary Braunsch (2017).
Emily served as Treasurer of the Tri-County Real Estate Board and as a Real Estate Broker for 30 years. She was a Travel Agent for 20 years. Her many interests included painting, gardening, playing games, driving, travelling and she loved her camp fires. She was a volunteer at Tillsonburg Hospital, a member of Tillsonburg Senior’s Centre and Station Arts Centre, Lambeth Horticultural Society, UCW, Women’s Institute (60 Years), and a current member of St. Paul’s United Church. Her faith in God carried her throughout her life. Emily made friends wherever she went and embraced making new friends and new experiences.

The family would like to recognize the amazing care that Emily received in her home, from LHIN, Care Partners (especially Suzanne and Tina), Stonebridge Community Services, VON volunteer Donna Lee, and the many other caregivers who helped her along the way. A special thank you to her daughter-in-law Karen Faw, Dr. Cheng, and the doctors and compassionate staff at Sakura House.
