The Funeral Service for Huck Armstrong will be held on Tuesday December 5, 2017 with visitation beginning at 11:30 am and the Funeral Service beginning at 1 pm., at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 56 Thames Street South, Ingersoll, Ontario.

Dennis William Harold ‘Huck’ Armstrong

Dennis W. H. Armstrong passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday November 28, 2017, in his 93rd year.

Huck was proud of his service as a Navy Veteran during World War II.  He was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a Mason with the King Hiram Lodge Number 37.  He retired in 1983 after 35 years of service with Ontario Hydro.

Beloved husband of Ruth Armstrong (Collins) for 68 years.  Loving Father of Ron (Marilyn), Ken (Patty), and Jim (Judy).  Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Greg, Trevor (Kate), Jamie, Jeremy, Dylan, Katie, Tyce, Darci, and Danielle.  Great Grandfather to Miller.  Predeceased by his sisters Marjorie, Beulah, Joyce and his brother Lloyd.  He is fondly remembered by the extended family and many friends.

Huck enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was a well-known athlete participating in baseball, basketball, golf, curling, and swimming.  He also enjoyed his annual fishing trip to Geraldton, Ontario.  He loved having his family around him, especially his grandchildren.

Friends and Relatives are invited to join the Family for a Funeral at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 56 Thames Street South, in Ingersoll on Tuesday December 5, 2017.  Visitation will begin at 11:30 am with the Funeral Service at 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Ingersoll, Ontario or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 119, Ingersoll are appreciated and may be made directly or through Wareing Cremation Services, 346 Simcoe Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario N4G 2J8 (519-409-5575).
