The family will hold a Celebration of Ruth’s life on Saturday November 12, 2016 from 1 to 8pm at 916 Windflower Place, Kitchener, Ontario.

Loved with a love beyond all feeling, missed with a grief beyond all tears.
With profound sadness and extremely heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of their cherished mother, grandmother and friend, Ruth Georgina Gaus (nee Grant) on Sunday October 30, 2016 at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born November 12, 1932 in Mac Lennon, Ontario to the late Bertha (nee Oben) and Alexander Grant.
She is survived by her beloved children Wendy Gaus of Kitchener, Ken Gaus (and Maggie) of Ingersoll, Kevin Gaus (and Michelle) of Windsor, and Karen Otto (and Jason) of Kitchener; her grandchildren: Rebecca Dickon (and Michael) of North Carolina, Tom Fox (and Theresa) of North Carolina, Joshua Gaus, Teagan Bayne, Stephanie Gaus, Tristan Otto, Lachlan Bayne, Carter Gaus, Lauren Otto, and Matthew Otto; her great-grandchildren: Sierra Fox, Ariana Dickon, and Baylan Dickon; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is survived by her sisters, Eva Quillman of Harriston, Shirley Machan (Bill) of Mount Forest, and Ellie Bartja (Vern) of St. Catharines.
She was preceded in death by her sister Sue Scott and by her brothers, Clare Grant, Bob Grant, and Lloyd Grant.
As per her wishes, cremation has occurred and no formal service will be held, however the family will hold a Celebration of Ruth’s life on Saturday November 12, 2016 at 916 Windflower Place, Kitchener, Ontario from 1 to 8pm.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors in the ICU for taking good care of our Mother until her fight was over. Ruth will be fondly remembered by many. Until we meet again xoxo
