Juliet C. M. Harrison

Julie was born September 30, 1934, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, Ontario, on Sunday October 23, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Much loved wife of Tim Harrison for 60 years.  Devoted mother to: Rick Harrison, his wife Sue and their dog Tessa; Rob Harrison; and Marc Harrison, his wife Karen-Ann and their children Paige and Annalise.  Julie is survived by her sisters Mary Anne, Yvonne, Isabelle, and Marcella.  Predeceased by her brothers Lionel and Gerard.

Julie was a bright light, loved people, and cherished time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters Paige and Annalise.  She was a very compassionate individual and prolific watercolour artist.  She was a long time member of the Byron Brush and Pallet, and St. George Parish (CWL).

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and PSW workers from London Cancer Clinic, CCAC and especially St. Joseph’s Hospice.  Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 485 Windermere Road, London, Ontario are appreciated.

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

 Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there.  I did not die.
