David C. Lentz
Birth:  May 7, 1947
Death:  October 21, 2014

David Charles Lentz, born May 7, 1947, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday October 21, 2014 at his beloved Harmony Farm after a courageous battle with cancer.  Best friend and much loved husband of Jean, married October 2, 1970.  Son of the late Charles and Margaret Lentz.  Dave is also survived by his sister Jane Savickis  (Alex deceased).  He will be greatly missed by his Nagy Family, Guy and Sheryl, Ernie and Carolyn, Ben and Brenda, Chester and Murielle, Dean and Cindy, and the late Greg.  Dave will be sadly missed by his many loving nieces and nephews.

After a successful 30 year career at Ontario Hydro, Dave retired in 2000 to pursue his dream of farming with Jean, and his four legged constant companion Sally.  He retired a well respected Power Maintenance Electrical Supervisor at the Nanticoke Generating Station.  During his Hydro career, he was an instructor at the Orangeville Hydro Centre and participated in an overseas project in Nigeria.  On his farm, Dave grew Saskatoon berries, and was most proud of his affiliation with ALUS (Alternate Land Use Services) and the reforestation project.

Dave was a proud member of the Port Dover Lions Club, assisting with the Friday 13th camping at Silver Lake Park, and the very successful Dance of the Roses.  Dave was also a founding member of the Corvette Association of Hamilton (1972).

The Family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care of doctors and medical staff at Norfolk General Hospital, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, CCAC, the Care Partner Nurses, and the Stedman Outreach Team.
