Ruth Marion Curtis (nee Smith) peacefully passed away on Tuesday September 11, 2018, in her 89th year. She was surrounded by her family at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.

Beloved wife and best friend for 57 wonderful years to the late Lyle Curtis (2005). Ruth was predeceased by her beloved furry 4-legged friend “Sammy” (2013).

Ruth was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandma, GG, and a Friend to many. An ‘Avon Lady’ since the early 70’s and a Canada Post Carrier for the RR3 Tillsonburg route for many years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Andrew, Dr. Abdallah, the ER Staff, 2nd Floor Nurses, and the Tillsonburg Retirement Home for their wonderful care and compassion.

I will certainly miss Ruth. Lyle and Ruth delivered our mail for many years. She was also my Avon lady and had many discussions over tea and goodies at her kitchen table. Many visits in her new house after Lyle's passing and always greeted by her little dog. Also, visits at the retirement home. I will miss her very much. Thinking of all her family at this difficult time.

Reg & Elaine Hayward

Our deepest condolences at this difficult time. Thoughts and prayers with you.

Lucille Curtis

To the families of Ruth Curtis, Lucille and family send our sincere sympathies. We know you are a close family and care deeply for your Mother and Grandmother. She was very proud of her family and sometimes shared some of the caring and helpful things you did for her. She was blessed with a close and caring family and a wide circle of caring friends. Lucille will miss the telephone chats over the past few years since letter and card writing were getting difficult for both of them. She has been a grand friend and sister-in-law to Lucille and kept her informed of some of her friends of years past. She will be missed.
